Uses

This page lists the technology I use day‑to‑day to run UK Tech Blog and my various other projects. I took inspiration from the Indie Web Camp uses page.

Nothing here is sponsored. Nothing is here to impress. It’s simply what I use, why I use it, and where it fits into my workflow.

Core Setup

Main Laptop

Acer Swift Edge 14 AI

Why I use it:

  • Excellent performance for writing, photo editing, and some video work

  • Silent, cool, and reliable

  • Decent battery life when working away from the desk

  • It's quite light, less than a kilogram!

  • Excellent matte non-reflective OLED screen

What I’d change:

  • The speakers are awful. Not a dealbreaker as I use headphones with it, but still.
